Fabienne Vegt (1986) is a Dutch dramaturg and choreographer. Being a formal dancer, her work benefits from 20 years of experience in the performing arts. Parallel to the end of her dance career – with Het Nationale Ballet, Nederlands Dans Theater 2 and Troubleyn | Jan Fabre – she began her academic studies at the University for Humanistics in Utrecht.

Fabienne holds a BA in Dance (Royal Conservatory The Hague), a BA in Art Studies (Ghent University) and a MA in Dramaturgy (University of Amsterdam). Fabienne writes scenarios and libretti for ballet and opera. Working on interdisciplinary performances she specialises in the dramaturgy of space and the musicality of movement, establishing a profound dialogue between the visual and the audible on stage. 

As a dramaturg Fabienne Vegt has worked with Nationale Opera & Ballet, Nederlands Dans Theater, Grand Théâtre de Genève, Birmingham Royal Ballet, Ballet Moscow, Les Cris de Paris, Schauspielhaus Zürich. She maintains key collaborations with internationally recognised artists: Juanjo Arqués, Nicole Beutler, Jan Sobrie, Marne van Opstal and Imre van Opstal. Her work as a choreographer includes commissions for Museum Voorlinden, WhyNot Festival, Schauspielhaus Zürich, Rijksmuseum and TEFAF, Grand Théâtre de Genève and Philharmonie de Luxembourg.
