Marieke de Zwaan, born 1993 in Nieuwegein, studied Performance Art at the Theater Academy of Maastricht. Graduating in 2017, she joined the theater collective De Warme Winkel, participating in international productions as both an actress and writer. Her debut Short Film received the VEVAM award for Best Short at the Go Short Film Festival. Since 2020, she has been enrolled at the Deutsche Film- und Fernsehakademie Berlin.
