Lorena Díaz Stephens studied social sciences and design in her hometown of Santiago de Chile and in Barcelona. In Germany, she completed a Master’s degree in Media Architecture at the Bauhaus University Weimar.

As a designer and set and costume designer, she has worked in Spain, Chile, Austria and Germany, and has realised a wide range of film, theatre and musical theatre productions.

Her career has taken her to venues including the Berliner Ensemble, the state theatres in Hanover, Wiesbaden, Nuremberg, Darmstadt, Braunschweig, Saarbrücken and Oldenburg, the Schauspiel Frankfurt, the theatres in Stuttgart and Dortmund, the Leipzig Opera and Frankfurt Opera, as well as the Deutsche Oper am Rhein and the Münchener Kammerspiele.
