Rahel Ohm, born 1962 in Berlin, studied acting from 1983 to 1987 at the Acting School in Rostock and from 1985 to 1986 at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin. She completed her studies in 1987 at the Eduard von Winterstein theatre in Annaberg, Saxony. From 1987 to 1994 she was a permanent ensemble member in Frankfurt an der Oder, at the German National Theatre and Staatskapelle Weimar in 1994/1995, at the Schauspielhaus Leipzig in 1995/1999 and from 1999 to 2002 at the Staatstheater Kassel. In the season of 2002/2003, she worked as a freelancer, completed her academic education as a Montessori pedagogue and, as such, founded a Kindergarten called Sternenwiese. After acting as a guest at the Staatstheater Stuttgart and the Hans-Otto-Theater in Potsdam, from 2008 to 2018 she was permanently engaged at the Staatstheater Stuttgart and since September 2018 she has been working as a freelancing actress again. Since then she has played guest roles at the Volksbühne Berlin, the Staatstheater Karlsruhe and the Schauspielhaus Düsseldorf.
