Beka Butschukuri, born in 1992 in Tbilisi (Georgia), came to Germany at the age of 24 and has been studying jazz singing at the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich since 2018. Already since 2017, he participated in concerts and workshops in Europe and the USA as a tour member of the Georgian choir Adilei, which specializes in folk singing. In 2017, as part of the Dutch cooperation Georgia between the Anchiskhati Choir and the Nederlands Blazers Orchestra, he traveled with them to the Netherlands as a chorister. During his studies, he worked as a singer at various events, such as the Classic Open Air Festival of the Ziryab Academy and with the Heilbronn Symphony Orchestra. In 2019, he sang the solo baritone in the Requiem of orchestra director Nils Lindberg. In 2019, he participated in the New York Voices Vocal Camp in Markoberdorf, where he was named Scholarship Winner by the organizing singers. At the star opening of Maia Baratashvilis in the Tbilisi Philharmonic in 2020, Beka Butschukuri was on stage with her.
