Magdalena Klein completed her master's degree in orchestral conducting at the International Conducting Academy der Universität der Künste Berlin and has been the musical assistant to the GMD of the Bochum Symphony Orchestra and the conductor of the Philharmonic Choir Bochum since the 2019/2020 season. Among the orchestras she has conducted are the Deutsches Sinfonieorchester Berlin, Neubrandenburgische Philharmonie, Kammerakademie Potsdam, Brandenburgisches Staatsorchester Frankfurt, Magdeburgische Philharmonie and the orchestra of Komische Oper Berlin.

In 2019, she qualified as a finalist in the conducting competition of German music academies in Nuremberg and, in 2016, founded her own orchestra orchestr.insîéme, which has been performing under her direction in Berlin with works of the symphonic repertoire of the Classical and Romantic periods, as well as contemporary music. Within the framework of these concerts she collaborated with top-class musical personalities such as the concert pianist Haiou Zhang and the composer Moritz Eggert and she learned from teachers such as Steven Sloane, Antony Hermus, Alexander Rumpf and Sir Roger Norrington.

In addition to her work with orchestras, she is also active in the field of choral conducting, completing a master's degree in this area after studies in Hanover, Florence and Berlin. In the course of her career she gained experience with choirs such as Chorwerk Ruhr and the San Francisco Symphony Chorus.
