Kiri Haardt was born in Glasgow in 1966, grew up in Bern and lived for a time with her parents in the USA. After her dance training at the Rotterdamse Dans Academie / Codarts in Holland, she worked with COAX, the Vivienne Newport Company, at the Tanztheater of the Städtische Bühnen Münster and with Helena Waldmann, among others, before she was finally permanently engaged in the dance ensemble at the Theater Bremen under the direction of Susanne Linke and Urs Dietrich from 1996 to 2007. Since 2007 Kiri Haardt has been working as a lecturer at the Hochschule für Künste in Bern. In addition, she has a regular artistic collaboration with the contemporary composer Uwe Rasch. From 2011 to 2013 she was a jury member of the International Competition for Choreography in Hannover. In 2012 she danced in the reconstruction of Reinhild Hoffmann's production CALLAS, in 2015 she took the leading role as an actress in Maricel Alvarez' and Emilio Garcia Wehbi's production Das brennende Haus at the Konzert Theater Bern, in 2016 she danced at the Theater Trier in the Company Susanne Linke in the choreography Stabat Mater by Urs Dietrich.
