Vincent Rietveld, born 1977 in Driebergen. After studying international business administration, he ended up at the Maastricht Theatre Academy, where he graduated in 2002. He acted, wrote and directed for various theatre companies, appeared sporadically in film and television, and teaches occasionally, but he mainly works with theatre company De Warme Winkel, which he has co-directed since its inception in 2002.

De Warme Winkel has grown into a renowned theatre company that produces shows in both large and small venues, as well as on location, and also performs in other European countries. A great love of literature and a fascination with history and the current confusing times are recurring themes in De Warme Winkel's oeuvre, in which conceptuality and social engagement are becoming increasingly prominent. As a playwright, Vincent Rietveld has made a name for himself in recent years with a trilogy on overpopulation. He is also on the board of theatre incubator De Sloot, an initiative of De Warme Winkel and BOG. theatercollectie, which opened in 2022.
