Florian Lösche, born in 1981 in Munich, began his career after graduating from school working with set designer Erwin Klocker, building models and sets for private theatres in Munich. In 2003 he started studying stage design with Ezio Toffolutti at the Academy of Fine Arts Munich; in 2005 he transferred to the Hochschule für bildende Künste Hamburg to join Raimund Bauer’s class. While still a student he designed sets for Staatstheater Kassel, Kampnagel, Deutsches Theater Berlin and Thalia Theater Hamburg. He has created sets for productions by Jette Steckel and Antú Romero Nunes at venues including Deutsches Theater and Maxim Gorki Theater in Berlin, Schauspielhaus Zürich, the Burgtheater Vienna, as well as Hamburg State Opera and the Bavarian State Opera.
