Mark Badur, born in 1977 in Turku (Finland), grew up in Berlin. He studied musicology and ethnomusicology at Freie Universität Berlin, first worked as a carpenter and then trained as a sound engineer and sound designer. Since 2005 he has collaborated continuously with director Jette Steckel as a theatre musician and composer; further collaborations include work with Maya Fanke, Alia Luque, Karin Henkel, Peter Jordan and Leonhard Koppelmann. He has worked at, among others, Thalia Theater Hamburg, Deutsches Theater Berlin, Schaubühne Berlin, Schauspiel Köln, Burgtheater Vienna, Schauspielhaus Zürich and Schauspiel Frankfurt.
