Leonie Falke, born in Wuppertal in 1987, works as a costume and set designer for theatre and film. She trained as a menswear tailor at the Schauspiel Köln and subsequently completed a Master’s degree in costume design at the Berlin University of the Arts under Prof. Florence von Gerkan. She worked as an assistant to Bert Neumann at the Volksbühne Berlin.
In recent years, she has worked with Lucia Bihler, Bonn Park, Kieran Joel, Tom Kühnel, Marie Falke, Fritzi Wartenberg and Christina Tscharyiski, amongst others, and has designed costumes and sets for the Volkstheater München, Schauspiel Köln, Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus, Volksbühne Berlin, Schauspiel Hannover, Schauspiel Frankfurt and the Burgtheater Wien, amongst others. Leonie Falke was nominated by the magazine Theater Heute for Best Costume and Set Design in 2018 and for the ‘Der Faust’ theatre award in the ‘Costume’ category in 2023. Together with Laura Kirst, she runs the fashion label ‘Studiomilch’.
