Mandela Wee Wee, born in Paramaribo (Surinam), studied acting at the Theatre Academy of Maastricht (Netherlands) from 2008 to 2012. He studied business studies and trained as a dancer. During his acting education he took part in an exchange program with the Otto Falckenberg Schule in Munich, where he played his first role in Germany in 2011 in Die Altruisten. He worked as a freelance actor in the Netherlands in various theatre productions and was a member of the ensemble at NTGent in Belgium. He worked with Johan Simons for the first time in 2015 on Accattone by Pier Paolo Pasolini at the Ruhrtriennale, followed by the Dutch version of Die Fremden and in 2017 Cosmopolis in Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands. He has appeared in numerous Dutch television series and films. Since the 2018/2019 season he is a member of the ensemble of Schauspielhaus Bochum.
