Jessica Dannheisser, born in London in 1986, studied music at The University of Oxford. She composes music for theatre, film, VR and TV. Her theatre scores include Rubbish (Southbank Centre), The Tempest (Barbican), and Waiting (Southbank Centre). Recent TV scores include Sky One's The Queen And I, and BAFTA-winning BBC drama-documentary Suffragettes With Lucy Worsley. She also scored the multi award-winning virtual reality experience Hold The World featuring Sir David Attenborough. She has received several PRS funding awards for her work in theatre. As an arranger Jessica has worked with artists from Bryan Ferry to Kasabian. She orchestrated and performed in Ilan Eshkeri’s Sadler’s Wells ballet score Narcissus and Echo, and arranged and performed in The Cinematic Orchestra concerts at London’s Royal Albert Hall and Roundhouse. She has also orchestrated numerous film scores including Mica Levi’s Oscar-nominated, Ivor-Novello winning score for Jackie. At Schauspielhaus Bochum she composed the music for Die unglaubliche Geschichte vom kleinen Roboterjungen in the 2019/2020 season.
