Bastian Reiber, born 1985 in Mönchengladbach, studied acting at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy Leipzig. He completed his main studies at the Neue Theater Halle, where he played in Der Raub der Sabinerinnen and Das Haus in Montevideo, both directed by Herbert Fritsch. From 2009 to 2012 he was a member of the ensemble at the Theater Magdeburg, but continued his collaboration with Herbert Fritsch, among others at the Volksbühne am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz Berlin in Die (s)panische Fliege (2012) and Murmel Murmel (2013). In 2012, the jury of critics of the theatre magazine Theater heute voted him Young Actor of the Year. In 2015 he was awarded the Boy Gobert Prize of the Körber Foundation for Young Actors. Since the 2013/14 season he belongs to the ensemble of the Deutsches Schauspielhaus Hamburg. At the Schauspielhaus Bochum he can be seen in the 2018/19 season in Murmel Murmel by Herbert Fritsch.
