Thurid Peine, born 1978 in Berlin, studied stage and costume design at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz with Prof. Hans Schavernoch. In 2004 she graduated with honors and subsequently assisted at the Nuremberg State Theater, Malmö Music Theater and the Volkstheater in Vienna. Since 2006 she has been working as a freelance stage and costume designer at the Nuremberg State Theater, the Stuttgart State Opera, the National Theater Weimar, the GRIPS Theater Berlin and the Landestheater Salzburg. She has worked with directors David Hermann, Sandy Lopicic, Sönke Wortmann, Alice Asper and Olaf Strieb. In 2019, she equipped the Austrian premiere of Beben by Maria Milisavljevic in the Vestibule of the Vienna Burgtheater, directed by Anna Stiepani.
