Sofia Dorazio Brockhausen, born in 1993 in Hamburg and raised in Brazil, studied fashion design at the Faculdade Santa Marcelina in São Paulo, where she graduated in 2015. During her studies, she received several student awards in illustration and design and gained practical experience in styling and design with various companies. After completing her studies, she moved to Germany to work as a costume design assistant at the Nationaltheater Mannheim under the direction of Elmar Goerden. Since early 2017, she has been working at Schauspielhaus Bochum, initially as a costume design assistant and later as the lead costume designer. There she designed costumes for productions including Was glänzt (directed by Philipp Becker, 2019), Iwanow, Samstag, Sonntag, Montag, and Die Befristeten (directed by Johan Simons, 2020), Me, a Robinson (directed by Anna Stiepani, 2020), Schrecklich amüsant – aber in Zukunft ohne mich (directed by Tamo Gvenetadze, 2021), and RCE #RemoteCodeExecution (directed by Lisa Nielebock, 2025). For the 2025/2026 season, she designed the costumes for Anleitung zum Reboot der Welt after Sibylle Berg, directed by Lisa Nielebock.
