Victoria Behr

Victoria Behr, born in 1979 in Koblenz, studied costume design at the University of Applied Sciences in Hamburg. After her studies she worked as an assistant at the Schauspielhaus Bochum, the Schauspielhaus Zürich and at the Salzburg Festival. Victoria Behr has been working as a freelance costume designer since 2008. She works closely with the director Herbert Fritsch at the Theater Oberhausen, the Neue Theater Halle, the Centraltheater Leipzig, the Theater Bremen and the Volksbühne am Rosa-Luxemburg Platz in Berlin. Victoria Behr also designs costumes for productions by Peter Carp, Matthias Hartmann, Niklaus Helbling, Alvis Hermanis and Marcus Lobbes. For her designs for Herbert Fritsch's production of Nora at Theater Oberhausen, she was named costume designer of the year in the 2011 critics' survey of the magazine Theater heute. At Schauspielhaus Bochum her stage designs will be shown in the 2018/19 season in Herbert Fritsch’s productions Murmel Murmel and Die Philosophie im Boudoir.
