Eva-Maria Diers was born in Menden in the Sauerland and lives in Dortmund. She studied Philosophy and German Studies at the TU Dortmund from 2005 to 2011 and received her Master of Education in Philosophy, German Studies and Educational Science in 2014 at the same University. Since 2016 she has been working as a secondary-school teacher at the Westfalen-Kolleg Dortmund, where she teaches philosophy, German, literature writing and literature theatre. She is also, since November 2015, active in the executive board of the ChorAteliers e.V. and is involved as a theater pedagogical support of the choirs and in the implementation of their own musical projects.
