Matze Pröllochs is a freelance musician. From 2009 to 2017 he was the drummer of the band Me And My Drummer, releasing two albums and playing around 300 concerts across Europe. In 2025 he released his first solo album, Birth No Birth. In addition to his solo work, he contributes to numerous projects across genres—as a live drummer and in the studio.
Since 2017 he has collaborated closely with director Christopher Rüping; their productions Dionysos Stadt (Münchner Kammerspiele) and Einfach das Ende der Welt (Schauspielhaus Zürich / Deutsches Theater Berlin) were invited to the Berliner Theatertreffen and received both the Theater heute Critics’ Award (“Production of the Year”) and the Nestroy Prize (“Best German-language Production”). Further collaborations include work with Leonie Böhm (Schauspielhaus Zürich) and Guy Weizman (Thalia Theater Hamburg).
