Torsten Kindermann, born in 1974 in Bochum, studied school music with a major in saxophone at the University of Dortmund and later voice at the ArtEZ Conservatory in Arnhem/Netherlands. During this time he played in ska and reggae bands (including Alpha Boy School), swing projects, big bands, pop bands and various classical ensembles. Concerts and tours have taken him to the Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland, Ukraine, Poland, England and Japan. For some years now, his work has focused on theater music. Here he worked as a composer, musician and actor for example at the Schauspielhaus Bochum (among others Superstars, A Tribute to Johnny Cash, Bochum, Istanbul), Schauspiel Frankfurt, Maxim Gorki Theater, Volkstheater München, Theater Osnabrück and Theater Bremen. In the 2018/2019 season he took over the musical direction of the musical evening O Augenblick at Schauspielhaus Bochum. In the 2020/2021 season, he will, together with Selen Kara, take over the conception and musical direction of the musical evening Mit anderen Augen.
