Thomas Anzenhofer, born in Ulm in 1959, completed his acting training at the Hochschule der Künste in Berlin from 1980 to 1984. Afterwards followed engagements at Schauspiel Frankfurt, Schillertheater Berlin, Residenztheater Munich, Schauspielhaus Bochum, Berliner Ensemble, Gorki-Theater as well as Grillo-Theater Essen. He has been a guest at the Schauspielhaus Bochum since 2005, most recently as a singer and actor with his musical productions A Tribute to Johnny Cash, Well, you're my friend and Heimat ist auch keine Lösung. He has worked with directors such as Frank-Patrick Steckel, Andrea Breth, B.K. Tragelehn, Martin Wuttke, Valentin Jeker, Klaus Emmerich and Armin Petras. He is also involved in television, cinema and radio productions. He is furthermore part of various band projects as a musician. In 2009 he received the theatre prize of the Schauspielhaus Bochum, in 2016 he was awarded the prize for best actor at the international film festivals in Lisbon. At Schauspielhaus Bochum he can be seen in Karin Henkel's production Geschichten aus dem Wienerwald in the 2019/2020 season.
