Hajo Wiesemann began his musical education at the age of seven with private piano lessons. From 1999 he studied at the Amsterdam Conservatory, Maastricht Conservatory and at the Folkwang University of the Arts, where he graduated in 2007 with a diploma in jazz piano. In addition to his piano studies, he studied choir and orchestra conducting with Prof. Jörg Breiding and Prof. Oliver Leo Schmidt for six semesters. He worked with the Essen Philharmonic Orchestra, Bochum Symphony Orchestra and Duisburg Philharmonic Orchestra. As musical director, pianist and arranger he worked at the Schauspiel Essen, the Düsseldorf Schauspielhaus and the Schauspielhaus Bochum, among others. In addition to his participation in various ensembles and band formations of the independent music scene, he works as a lecturer for song study and choir in the drama department of the Folkwang University of the Arts Essen. At the Schauspielhaus Bochum he works musically on the production State against Nolan (Director: Thomas Dannemann).
