
Mona Vojacek Koper, born in 1992 in Los Angeles, is a German-American actor and theatre maker who moved to Bremen at the age of twelve. From 2013 to 2017 she studied acting at the Otto-Falckenberg-Schule in Munich. During her studies, she appeared in productions at the Münchner Kammerspiele, including works directed by Simon Stone and Kevin Barz, and co-founded the theatre duo hashtagmonike with Henrike Commichau. In 2018 she received the Debütförderung für Freie Theaterschaffende (debut funding for independent theatre practitioners) from the City of Munich for her project Promilla, which she presented under the title Sorry Not Sorry at Theater HochX. From 2018 to 2021 she was a permanent ensemble member at Theaterhaus Jena under the direction of the Dutch theatre collective Wunderbaum, where she created and performed productions such as Damenwahl, Witch Bitch, Holiday in Germany (original title: Urlaub in Deutschland), and Friendship Never Ends. She also wrote and performed her stand-up comedy monologue All By MySelfie. In February 2025, together with young people and her theatre duo hashtagmonike, she brought the piece Princess Island to the stage at Stellwerk in Weimar. Her screen work includes appearances in several film and television productions, among them the Hunger Games prequel The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes and a leading role in the Dutch-German-Belgian dramedy series This Is Gonna Be Great. Since 2025, Mona Vojacek Koper has been a member of the ensemble at Schauspielhaus Bochum, where she had previously appeared as a dancer and performer in Don’t Worry Be Yoncé.
