Greta Goiris studied costume design at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp and stage design at the Institute del Teatre in Barcelona. Her first collaborations took place with Jaques Delcuvellerie in Brussels and Avignon. Since 2001 she has worked continuously with Johan Simons, among others at the Ruhrtriennale, at the Münchner Kammerspiele and at the Wiener Festwochen. She has also worked with directors such as Ivo Van Hove, Karin Beier and William Kentridge. Her works have been shown around the world, for example at the Metropolitan Opera, Documenta and the Holland Festival. In the 2018/19 season she will design the stage design for Johan Simon's production The Jewess of Toledo at Schauspielhaus Bochum.
