Albrecht Schroeder studied theatre studies and Romance languages and literature at the University of Leipzig. At the same time, he worked as an intern with Miloš Lolić at the Basel Theatre and with Constanza Macras / DorkyPark. From 2016 to 2019, Albrecht Schroeder worked as an assistant director at the Mainfranken Theatre in Würzburg. There he created his first directorial works: Sisyphos auf Silvaner (UA) by Gerasimos Bekas and Schwalbenkönig by Stefan Hornbach. From 2020-2023 he worked as an assistant director at Schauspiel Leipzig. His production zwei herren von real madrid by Leo Meier was honoured with the Nachspielpreis of the Heidelberger Stückemarkt 2023. Albrecht Schroeder has been an assistant director at Schauspielhaus Bochum since the 2023 season.
