Bernd Rademacher
Bernd Rademacher, born in Gelsenkirchen, studied acting at the Folkwang Hochschule in Essen from 1977 to 1979. After a first engagement at the Schauspielhaus Bochum he changed to the Schauspiel Essen from 1980 to 1982. Further engagements have taken him to the Nationaltheater Mannheim, where he also directed, the Staatstheater Karlsruhe and the Staatstheater Wiesbaden. Since 2002 Bernd Rademacher is again a member of the ensemble at Schauspielhaus Bochum. He has worked with directors such as Jürgen Kruse, Helge Schneider, Karin Henkel, Elmar Goerden, Burghart Klausner, Anselm Weber, David Bösch, Jan Klata, Roger Vontobel, Alexander Riemenschneider and Christian Brey. In 1981 he received the Grimme-Preis for his acting performance in the 13-part television series Der Seiltänzer.
