Axel Manirakiza (@viji_umuderi) is a multidisciplinary creative director and visual artist who was born (*1996) and raised in Burundi, Africa, and is now based in Germany. Manirakiza is working in fashion, visual culture, and conceptual art. Manirakiza has been a model since 2019 and works as creative director since 2020 for different campaigns with: fashion brands, musicians, companies and theatre productions. The work of Axel Manirakiza is based on identities, futurism, and subculture through the hybrid lens of fashion aesthetics and artistic experimentation.
