Marvin L. T. Müller, born in 1990 in Hanover, studied archaeology, German philology, and English philology at the University of Hamburg and University College London, as well as dramaturgy at the University of Music and Theatre Hamburg. From 2016 to 2019, he worked as a research assistant in theatre studies at the University of Hamburg. He works both as a writer and as a musician. He is a founding member of the band kollektiv22, which was named Newcomer of the Year by Radio Energy in 2012, and the band the selkie and the sea. In Hamburg, he founded the theatre collective Sexy Theater Menschen, which explored right-wing populism, postcolonial structures, and the climate crisis in its Megazorn trilogy. In 2019, he published his first poetry collection odysseefragmente II/III, which was included on the longlist of the most beautiful books of the year. Since the 2021/2022 season, Marvin L. T. Müller worked as a dramaturg at Schauspielhaus Bochum. In 2025, he also taught theatre history at the Folkwang University of the Arts.
