OVAL OFFICE BAR

Another Bar is possible: the new place to be in Bochum! A non-commercial venue of solidarity and resistance that is collectively run and is open before and after the performances offering a congenial atmosphere for good drinks and profound conversation. With the arrival of Johan Simons as Artistic Director the former Eve Bar was completely refurbished and now provides a shared space for the City Theatre and the local independent scene. Kathrin Ebmeier and Gábor Bodolay have been making theatre together for almost ten years. They curate the bar and the programme for the Oval Office Bar. They work together with atelier automatique, an association for promoting and networking the independent arts in Bochum.

Tues – Sun, 17:00 – 24:00 h
Mon (usually) closed

DRINKS AND SNACKS

Light snacks and drinks are served at the bar in the Schauspielhaus foyer before the performance and during the interval. In the Kammerspiele our catering staff will serve you either at the bar or in the restaurant section of Tanas (see below).

We recommend the best way to enjoy your interval refreshments: make your table reservation and order with our catering team before the performance. Then you will have plenty of time to enjoy the interval.

TANAS

Round out your evening’s theatre at Schauspielhaus Bochum with a culinary experience and visit Tanas in the Kammerspiele either before or after the performance. You don’t even need a theatre ticket to visit the restaurant in the Königsallee and enjoy its delicious selection of dishes and drinks as well as its lively theatrical atmosphere. You can see the current menu at www.tanas-bochum.de.

Mon – Sat, 18:00 – 01:00 h
Sun from one hour before the performance
Closed on days with no performance
